Privacy Policy

Your privacy is paramount. Rinelle operates under a strict data-minimization philosophy: we only store the bare minimum information necessary to provide server color role management and health verification.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Rinelle in a Discord server, we store:

  • Server IDs (Guild ID): To identify your server and associate your configured color roles.
  • Role IDs & Metadata: Discord Role Snowflake IDs, role names, visual positions, and primary/secondary hex color integers.
  • Creator User IDs: Discord User Snowflake IDs of members who created or registered specific color roles (for audit attribution).
  • Aggregated Performance Metrics: Anonymized telemetry (e.g. Gateway latency, memory utilization, transaction count) to ensure system stability.

What we NEVER collect or store:

  • Message contents, chat logs, or channel history.
  • Direct messages (DMs).
  • Personal identifiable information (emails, IP addresses, real names).
  • Voice channel audio or transcripts.

2. How Information is Used

Stored data is used exclusively to:

  • Render color palette previews and member self-assignment menus.
  • Perform role audits and auto-fix desynced or ghost roles during /verify-roles.
  • Enforce server-specific role limits and configurations.

We never sell, rent, or monetize your server data or share it with commercial third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

Data is persisted locally in an encrypted, high-performance SQLite database operating in WAL (Write-Ahead Logging) mode. Backups are strictly controlled and retained only for disaster recovery.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

  • When Rinelle is removed (kicked or banned) from a Discord server, server-specific data remains dormant and can be permanently deleted upon request.
  • Right to Erasure: Server owners may request complete deletion of their server's color role catalog at any time by contacting our support team.
